how to control the speed of lan card.


Hi dear frinds…i have a lan network and its speed is 100/10 mbps. But due to some reasons I want that my eth0 or eth1 must be operate on 512/256 Kbps, how I can do that…?

you would want to look at tc to traffic shape the traffic leaving the system. i take it you wish to emulate a dsl line? a doc like this could be a useful start. http://roback.cc/howtos/bandwidth.php
