As you've been told a few times in the past:
  • There are NOT JUST SIRS on this website. Beginning each post with "Sir" doesn't make much sense.
  • Please try to look things up on your own first. This has been covered on this site MANY times, and Google has LOTS of information too
And don't bump your own thread...if you have more information, edit your original post. All you've done is take it off the zero-reply list, making it LESS VISIBLE, and less likely someone will answer.

And the modem is a cellular data modem...it will OBVIOUSLY take a GSM SIM card, otherwise it wouldn't work. For Linux, you need to install/use the "usb_modeswitch" utility. Install it via YAST for openSUSE, and through yum for Fedora. Once you run it, it 'flips' the device from being a CD-ROM device, to a modem. Then, use wvdialconf or whatever network manager you'd like, to set up your connection. Again, this has been covered on this site many, MANY times....a quick search will bring up lots.
