Question how to connect 2 different LAN using linux router

HI all,
am stilla novice when it comes to linux and networking
This is my problem, will can anyone help me out with it..??
my existing LAN onsite uses cisco router for internal routing and clark connect for internet gateway.
I want to link my new office LAN in another building nearby to the existing LAN but with different subnet (lan A 192.168.2.xx 192.168.4.xx)
Am using adsl modems for linking, and I want to use a linux box as a router cos of cost reasons.
Pls help me how do I configure Linux to do the routing??
Can clark connect or SME 7 can act as a router.?
Reaaaly appreciate if anyone can help me out .. very urgent..
thanx for ur time ppl..

well the way i would do it is
first (to state the obvious): make sure the linux box has two network cards, this seems obvious like a no brainer but can be easily overlooked. the default kernel if im not mistaken on alot of distribuitons will support such routing.. then download firestarter
from http://www.fs-security.com (or something similar) and use that to configure your firewall, with firestarter you will have to set policies for inbound/outbound traffic by means of port number.
