I want to configure Dynamic DNS, so that i dont need to make static entry in localhost.zone and named.local. I checked my DHCP settings also. Can anyone help
not quite sure what you want to do, but if you just want a dynamic "hostname" (like that your hostname is updated each time your ip change, if you have a dynamic ip connection) the easiest would be to take an account on some dyndns service. Most of them are free and quite reliable. Take a look at noip.com or dyndns.org, as example.
Well My setup is
1 NIS server, I DHCP/DNS server , 500 Clients
I dont want to add a DNS entry in each clients host file nor I want to make static entry in DNS files. What I am looking at is each time a user requests an IP address, He should also get name resolution and automatically update DNS Files (Localhost.zone, named.local )
