What kind of modem do you use - may or may not be detected so you probably will have to do a little work to get it running.

Most of these use webpage based interface. If you read the manual they will normally say what the ip address of the router side is. eg 192.168.1.1. If you have static addressing on the attached ethernet card then set it on the same range and then you should be able to access the router using a browser and puting in the address http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar. If you are using dhcp then set the ethernet card to pick up a lease in the same ip range. Once into the router you will be able to configure it.

You guys need to find out the internal ip address of the web admin in your dsl router (call customer service). After that if you are not using dhcp in your computers, you need to do it or give it an ip in the same network that the webadmin or you will not be able to configure the dsl modem.
