Question How to check internet speed


I am using Suse 10.0, my notebooks is connected to a broadband ISP.
How to check my upload and doenload speed?
What commands can I use?

Connection is:: 44 Kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 386 kB)
Download Speed is:: 5 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net (main)
Test Time:: Wed Mar 01 2006 20:54:24 GMT+0800 (MALST)
Bottom Line:: 1X faster than 56K 1MB download in 204.8 sec
Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 3.77 % of your hosts average (49.14)

What broadband type/speed do you have? Make sure you are not downloading stuff or anything while testing because that would cause a major impact.
