How to change interface name in Fedora-19

Hi,

My laptop is connected to 2 LAN networks, one through direct ethernet port & the other through USB to ethernet converter.
In this the interface name for USB to ethernet is showing as enp0XXXX & I need to change it to ethx.
Can anyone please tell me how to change this interface name in Fedora-19.

RedHat documentation claims you can edit the Connection Name field or create a new interface in the NetworkManager applet. I don't use it, myself.

You can change it through udev. Create a file in /etc/udev/rules.d/ and call it anything that follows the naming convention or just 70-persistent-net.rules if you want.

SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="[mac address]", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth0"

There may be a file called 80-net-name-slot.rules or something like that that needs to be symlinked to /dev/null as well.
