How to bring eth interface up correctly?

Hello there,
if I use
ifconfing eht0 down
to bring eht interface donw and then, I use
ifconfing eht0 up
my network connection is not working.
Why? What's wrong?

ifup eth0

if your NIC gets ip from a DHCP server, ifconfig up wont work

try to use netconfig for configuration of ethernet interface
