if you don't understand what are you being asked for, why do you want to use Kali? Senseless.

Have you tried running Kali as a Live USB (as opposed to in VMWare) which is "our favorite and fastest method of getting up and running" according to the Kali developers in the official Kali documentation? If you have read and understood this documentation, then you would know "Is Kali a VM? Then, unless your card is USB, it will not be useable (VMWare/VirtualBox/QEMU will virtualize EVERY PCI device)."

(reference: "Troubleshooting Wireless Drivers" from the Kali website)

tl-wn722n usb adapter have . the VMWare not support usb tl-wn722n ? i am new sorry . i installed lot of versions linux in VMWare and the same . what is wrong ?

snowday 03-08-2014 02:46 PM

Since this is the first time you mentioned tl-wn722n, how could we possibly have answered your question before now? :)

Have you made any effort to, for example, google "tl-wn722n kali"? Wouldn't it be amazing if somebody had posted some info about this on the kali linux forums... ;)

Hi. Are you aloud in the router settings, look at the back of the router for details and\or google how to change its settings...
e.g: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...2212518AAM1mPr
could need non-free drivers (although if your at that point probably not?) Plus, I second the idea of running on the system not a VM, live even. Check my second link in signature for more help on that++. Best wishes and have fun. :)

I personally use and recommend Linux Mint. It is user-friendly for beginners and will probably (no guarantees, though) support your wireless device no problem.

Kali is not really a general-purpose distribution for beginners.

no offense BUT.....
If you ,all on your own, can not solve a normal everyday issue for KALI or BT

then you should NOT !!!! be trying to use it

now if it ware a "gem" you were stuck on and some loop was not behaving right .......

Kali and its PREDECESSOR Backtrack
were designed BY security EXPERTS!!! for use BY SECURITY EXPERTS!!!

that "EXPERTS!!!" part is the important part

People who built and\or tore apart electronics were the first "hackers" though this could help the OP too: http://jonahellison.com/archive/coldfirez/sohacker.htm
or school for: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_security ... :D
