How many NIC requier for Squid
Dear sir
Please tell me that how many NIC required for configure squid server I have Install redhat ES 4 and I want to configure squid proxy but I don,t know how to configure NIC for Intranet and Internet. thanks Mukesh Rathod:cry: thank you very much for reply but I am new in linux so, I have install two NIC 1,eth0 internal network ip:192.168.1.5 2,eth1 connect to internet ip:192.168.1.179 but I am confused that what is gw for eth0 ? is it 192.168.1.197 or else any ? It depends. In some cases 0: when you don't have NICs, but ppp interfaces or similar things. In the normal case, however, you need two: internal and external. Please be more specific about the problem you have. What fails: NIC configuration (module, IP) or the squid configuration (you can't tell it which interface to use as internal or external)? |
