Open the control centre
Click on Hardware
Click on hardware (subcatagory)
at the top click on tools disks
click OK to "make a backup"
click on Samba
click on new
you shared disk (from the ME system) should should up
You then click on the one you wish to access and you will receive a mount point prompt
the mount point is where you want the drives to be mounted from the root (C: if this were dos)
I usually put them in my own directory ie
/home/Avatar2U/mp3 - this will then show up as a directory mp3 when I click on the home button
Exit and you are done Still exploering the other direction

I am presuming that you windows system has the internet connection. If you install internet connection sharing you will be able to access the net from either machine

Open the control centre
Click on Hardware
Click on hardware (subcategory)
at the top click on tools "Printers"
add printer
printer on samba
give it the ip address and name of the windows machine
ie 192.168.0.1
supply any required login information (ie if you have a password on it) and the network name probably "MSHOME"
Then tell it what type of printer it is
run test page

Reply to Avatar2U's method.

Avatar2U, I did exactly the same thing as you suggested above,
but the Linux machine still can't print to the network printer.
when I try to print a test-page, it says : the printer is not ready
or something like "lp is not ready".
What else could be wrong?
(by the way, my Linux machine is a laptop with Mandrake 8.0, and it's connected thru the LAN jack.

I am really not sure at this point but a couple of thing that might work

1 make sure you are sharing printers in windows machine
2 can you make a network connection between the 2 machines
3 Did you get the Windows printer share name correct? Linux is case sensitive

Good Luck
