How do you get a netmask and default router code
 
Hi,
I just recently bought a playstation 2 adapter to go online and my computer wont support DCHP auto settings so the adapter made me switch to static settings. I have searched and searched my cable modem but i can not find the netmask or the default router code. Please help me.:newbie:

Well if it doesn't support DHCP then you'll need to contact your ISP and obtain a static IP or to get the settings, they could probably provide you with this default information.

Also, how is this Linux related, posts like this should go in the General forum next time?
