How do I tell sendmail to use my ISP's outgoing mail server which needs name & psswrd
Hello all,
I've come a long way by myself recently, but sendmail is giving me a headache.
I have a FQDN and am able to receive email to my domain.
Sending out email is the problem. I have sendmail setup to masquerade my email as coming from my domain and set SMART_HOST to point at my ISP's outgoing email server. BUT the problem is in the required SSL authentication required by my ISP. And quite possibly sendmails configuration in relaying permissions.
Does anybody know how to tell sendmail to use a specific username and password when trying to relay mail through another MTA?
I've read for an hour about previos posts about sendmail but did not find what I was looking for. Also I did a google search but did not find relevant info. to my situation.
Can anybody get me going in the right direction?????
Thanks,
Wolfy
