How do I go through a proxy for specific sites?

I would like to be able to automatically go through a proxy for specific websites (I've been ip-banned on a forum because I accidently insulted a moderator, ups).

So using when I in firefox look up website.com, it would be nice to have proxy-settings for this site only. Either by way of dns-lookup or on the ip directly. I would prefer a solution like modifying hosts file or something similar. I this possible?

you need to pick a suitable extension, or appologise to the site admins... i use foxyproxy for a lot of proxy server testing i do at work. that's about the most complex one i've seen, something simpler may suit you.
