Question How Do I Get My Modem To Work On Ubuntu?

I use Linux/Ubuntu frequently and initailly had my modem (Vodafone ) working correctly any time I plug it in. I tried to upgrade from 12.04 to 13.04. This failed and I got to clear everything and re-install 12.04 but my modem does not work. When I 'lsusb' I see it there but it does not work.

A solution from RH.

"Sorry for false alarm. I tried to reinstall ModemManager, restarted and reenabled service and than gave it more time and finally I have mobile connections accessible in NetworkManager applet.
