how do i get linux-to-linux remote desktop connection going?

hi,

i'm unable to connect to a linux machine from another linux machine using the remote desktop (rdesktop) program. but, connecting to windows from linux (via XDMCP) and vice-versa (via rdesktop) has no problem. may i get some help in this regard? should i be running any service that allows linux-to-linux remote desktop connection? or should i be using another remote client program other than rdesktop? plz help!

thanx.
mahesh

I find vnc the best. Try TightVNC.

Real VNC

Or you could use Xnest with XDMCP:

Xnest :1 -query remotepc
