how do i connect to the net in ubuntu hoary thru dial-up connection???
 

i use ubuntu hoary , i tried to connect to the net but efforts went in vain . my device manager detects the modem and network connector(or whatever ) says the ppp0 is activated now what????
please tell me how do i connect to the net???? iE in windows is p***ing me off...

You shluld buy an external modem i think it's the best bet for your problem. Somehow you can download any PPP manager like Gnome PPPfor trying making work that modem.
