How do i connect to a hidden wireless network from command prompt?
 
The networks ESSID is "sh0mis"

To connect do: iwconfig "(type)" essid "(name of router)" key s:"(my-wireless-key)"

{BBI}Nexus{BBI}, Tried searching couldn't find it... now i type:

iwconfig wlan0 essid sh0mis

but nothing happens, i cannot ping my router.

you're not giving enough information for people to be helpful...what distro? what protocol WEP? WPA/WPA2? do you know the encryption key or are you trying to leech onto a neighbours node?
