How can I reset the password on a cisco switch?
I asked a seller on ebay if he had the password for the switch and he told me: "Buyer can reset the switch and select their own password."

Hi! Anyone who knows how to reset a Cisco 1420 Switch?
When I use the passwd recovery tool it says
Quote:
For the above mentioned Cisco products, there is no standard password recovery procedure. If you forget the password, the Cisco device can be accessed with the factory-installed password. Once you gain access to the device with the factory-installed password, you can change the password to a known password.
For security reasons, the factory-installed passwords are not made available on the Cisco web site. To obtain the factory-installed password, use the Cisco Technical Support contact phone number for your region

And on phone they say I only get it if I got a Contract with them
