How can i block msn through squid
 
Hi

How can i block msn through squid. Is it possible. Msn use http proxy. I want that hotmail and others sites open properly but msn do not work. I use squid on windows 2000 server. Is it possible to block only msn on squid on windows plateform.

Plz help me

If you try to block the MSN port, then MSN will change to port 80.
You will probably not succeed with squid.
You will have to examine the actual packets, using a software like Snort to examine the content of packets.

You may be able to block requests to the login servers of MSN.

This approach is only temporary as the number of login servers along with the number of different ports used are constantly changing.
