well a "server" can be almost anything, but i'm guessing you mean serving a shared directory? that's samba. if that's not the case, please take the time to actaully tell us what it is you want to serve, we aren't psychic.
Sorry, dude but what you're trying to achieve is beyond the possibilities the software written so far offers. If you want to join a domain or an AD and make the damn linux pc act just like windows, look just like windows, apply policies and so on just like windows, you just have to be on your own. I've built such a solution, but it's not a oneway step i tell you. The less painful part is to use some sort of terminaling (Terminal Services/ Shared desktops/ Multiple VNC/FreeNX sessions) to the master server and use the client computer as a thin client.
