How are hosts listed by ICANN outfits?

I am having difficulties trying to understand the differences between how ARIN vs RIPE list their information. When I whois an American computer I get City and State/Province but not when ARIN displays a listing (apparently from) RIPE which lists that with address:
Does RIPE always list its address info the same way cuz I see the city/zip & country listed 2 time there which makes little sense to me making me think they are a bit casual about information placement.
Should I expect similar differences from SE Asian responses?

The listings you get from ARIN for non-North American IP allocations are basically summaries. If you want a more detailed listing you'll need to do the look-up on the appropriate site (ie RIPE, APNIC, etc).

And yes, they all list them slightly differently. They are not technically part of ICANN (which handles domain names) but IANA that handles IP address allocations.

If you mean that IRR's must adhere to RPSL specifications (RFC / RIPE) then I don't know.
You should have no problem displaying nfo uniformly and regardless of location:
Code:

Use the right client: WhoB.
*If you use LFT you already have whob.
