Host a server behind a router with a tunnel trough a outside server?

Hey all my fellow Geeks and Fegeek )

i have a kinda wierd question.. i am sitting on a large local network, with no access to the router, to setup port redirect and so on.

however i have a Server i want to use to Host a program on port 91 to the outside internet.. however since i am not allowed to do that directly, i was wondering if it was posable, if i had a Outside server with dedicated IP and so no.. if i could tunnel my local server trough the outside server, to make a tunnel on that specific port?

i know its a wierd question, but i hope some people got some answers

If you're not allowed then dont

Sure, tunneling is possible but if you're not allowed to do that then it's fair to assert you don't own or manage that network.
If you don't own or manage that network then it's also likely you don't set the rules but somebody else.
That being the case you should ask for permission.

Circumventing network policy is not a topic for LQ.
Violating network policy may compromise network security.
So IMHO it's not a weird question but a rather irresponsible one.
Especially for somebody who lists occupation as "Server Technician"...

Well i was thinking of hosting it on my own server, but use my local computers CPU, not violate network security..

i am still allowed to stream all the data i want.. and if i could have used my own ouside server as a hub, i could have clokaed the IP between my local server and the remove server, as people would only see data streaming from the remove server to them..

the question i was asking was to make my local server a hardworking CPU, that got its streams from the remove server, as a hub.

i think you where talking about doing a VPN?

You may have been thinking you did but that was not the question you were asking.

Set up a SSH tunnel (autossh?) from server to the remote machine.
On the remote machine redirect traffic to the listening port.
Should be all there's to it.
