Restart your NIC

You may need to recycle your NIC. You can do this from the command line by issuing:

ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig eth0 up

Give that shot. It should work okay. If not repost!

Run through the pings

have you tried

ping 127.0.0.1

then

ping 192.168.0.3

then

ping 192.168.0.1

?

Give those a shot. The first one is your internal address (i.e your NIC). You know what the others are. If the first one fails, you might have a driver issue. Aside from that, I'm at a loss. Maybe triple check your settings and run through it all again.
