HomePNA and SUSE 9.0

I tried to install HomePNA & Ethernet adapter that uses AM79c978AKC chip with SUSE 9.0. to connect to the internet. The card is found and I can configure it but DHCP doesn't work and it won't connect to internet. With XP there are no problems... why can't SUSE handle it?
