I've used WinXP computer that was connected to internet with USB model and it had shared internet connection to my second linux box that was connected to it with cross-x cable+2 Ethernet cards.

WinXP A Eth 1 + USB -> Modem ->Internet

Linux B Eth 1
Now I remove WinXP and put Debian Linux on the computer also I need to change the USB modem to modem that is connected with Ethernet card to computer (only type of modem that is supported for linux by my provider).
So the question is following will this combination work

Will this HW fine for following configuration?
Both computers should share connection to internet.
