Help with XDMCP Xterminal - I've tried everything - Suse9.1

I'm running a i586 with Suse9.1. I recently reinstalled from scratch, and I can't get XDMCP to work. I had it working before I reinstalled, so I know it's not the fault of the client. I've been through every tutorial (XDMCP-HOWTO, etc.) and I've modified all the kdmrc, Xaccess, etc. The only thing I find weird is that I can't find port 177 in netstat. However, when I use fuser 177/tcp and fuser 177/udp, it claims "here." I know I have set Enable XDMCP to true. Any ideas?
Thansk in advance,

nevermind - i got it

Just to let everybody know, in case someone else has this problem. I figured it out. It turns out there were two kdmrc files, one in /etc/opt/kde3..., and another in /opt/kde3..., so apparently I was editting the /opt/kde3, which is the wrong one.
