Help with VPN netwoking solution for Stompbox

Hey all.

Heres the situation: I built one of the infamous stompbox's, (for those of you who dont know, a stompbox is a single board computer with a cellular data card and a wireless card, its design so that more than one person can share a cellular connection.) now the carrier that I'm using (TELUS :P) has put all their cell cards within a huge mother CLASS A network and thus all the IP's are 10.x.x.x.

I want to be able to access my stompbox via a webpage from home but am un-certain as to how to do this. One idea was to use an OpenVPN client from the stompbox to connect to my network at home.

Is this the right idea or am I off in left field? Any suggestions would be great!!!

P.S. if you have any stompbox questions lemme know.

sounds like you need to assign some DNS to it.
that would make it more accesible for the VPN right?

p.s. whats the setup of your stompbox and what kinda access are you suing it for? i.e. remote connection? proxy? for fun? heh.

No I dont believe the DNS would be solution here because DNS has to resolve to an IP and my cellular data service is NAT'd behind one IP. Therefore when I'm online with my aircard and so is the guy beside we both have internal class A ip addresses. Both of our external addresses are something like 72.27.xx.xx.

What access do I want? Well ssh and httpd mostly
