Help with Proxy access in Fedora

Hey Guys,

After a recent mishap with my laptop involving Orange Juice, i've had to reinstall fedora. Unfortunately i am now behind the university proxy server and so whilst i can configure firefox and the like to bypass it, i cannot do so with the console (yum etc). Can anybody tell me what i need to do so that i can import the gpg signatures and use yum. Thanks in advance.

Don't know if this fits your situation but you can set up yum to use a proxy.
See "man yum" under "Proxy configuration".

I've managed to get yum to work now, (missing / at the end of the proxy address in yum.conf) but i still can't get wget to work. Where is the configuration file for it??
Cheers

at terminal
>http_proxy=http://myproxy:myport
>export http_proxy

else system ->preferences->network & set the proxy
