help with packet-injection for bcm43xx, where to start?
I have no idea where to start on this. I have read in several places that people have been able to get packet-injection to work. I am using kernel 2.6.18-rc7, Debian Etch, I have specifically the 4318 chipset. I am not sure what else I need to give for information, but I will greatly appreciate any help.
You need to learn the TCP/IP network stack if you're going to be doing packet injection. If you don't know what SYN,ACK,RST, and other TCP flags are, then you need to stop what you're doing, and start READING.
I have a general idea, but I will for now just be using aireplay and such to do it for me. I just need to get the card working with packet-injection abilities.

You need to have a better idea than just a general one, BEFORE you start doing packet injection. Do you even know what packet injection is? Do you even know what a packet looks like?
It's like saying you want to be a lawyer, and you want to skip all the legal reading required, and get straight to the trial. It doesn't work that way.
I think I have a basic idea now on what is involved. I just need information on how to get broadcom cards packet-injection ready. I've read about a patch for the bcm43xx drivers in linux, but I'm not sure where it is or how to get it going. Any help as far as that goes would be great. thanks
