I am running Redhat 8, I thought I had the firewall configured via kick start. I have as my incomming (open) connection a private IP address of 10.0.0.61 from my ISP. Yes I realize this is a private IP address, but I am hoping to get all of configuration work taken care of while I am still behind my ISP firewall and when it is all configured move to a public address. The second link across the firewall is a private ip address of 192.168.0.1/16, which will be used to build an internal network. On the internnal private network I am using static addresses on each machine, and have cofigured each machine with DNS and default gateway information. Several problems exist.
1. I cannot ping the "outside" interface from and device located on the internal network.
2. Is there anyway to determine if any traffic is crossing the NAT program, or even if it is running?
3. is there any way to monitor traffic ie requests, or attempts, to access the internal network.
