Help !!! Ubuntu Internet Connection Sharing
Hi , i am new with Linux. I would like to fiind out how can i share my internet connection (Ubuntu Machine) to my other computer.. (WindowS Xp Sp2).
---Both of the computers have Wireless Adapters , and Enthernet Adapters--- Anyone ? :) please help a n00b .. :) P.S. : Sorry for my bad English :(( . |
Have you got cable or DSL internet? If so, I would recommend getting a wireless gateway/router. That way you don't have to have the other machine on in order to use the internet, plus, it's much easier to manage. If you're on Dial-Up, it can be a little tricky.
here's a posting from ubuntuforums.org on how to share a connection from ubuntu: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=91370 |
Oops.. forgot to tell.. i've Ubuntu 6.10... the guide works for 5.10 :(( in 6.10 it says : cannot fiind dnsmasq package. :((
