help setting squid

i have a suse box connected to the net using speedtouch usb. my friends using windows boxex wanna sharing connection with me throught a switch, so i try to using squid as a proxy server software. but after installing, when i run squid -CNd1, it comes out as follow
FATAL: Cannot open '/usr/local/squid/var/logs/access.log' for writing.
The parent directory must be writeable by the
user 'nobody', which is the cache_effective_user
set in squid.conf.
Squid Cache (Version 2.5.STABLE4): Terminated abnormally.
CPU Usage: 0.013 seconds = 0.009 user + 0.004 sys

Page faults with physical i/o: 315

what should i do to make it work?
can give me an example of the config file?
