Unhappy Help - Port Forwarding

Hello all,

I've read alot about port forwarding but i still can't get it to work.

WHAT I GOT

EXTERNAL IP: xx.xx.xx.xx

[-SPEEDTOUCH 530 ADSL MODEM-]

INTERNAL IP: 10.0.0.1

Server (Windows) 192.168.0.1

File-server (Linux) 192.168.0.19

WHAT IM TRYING TO DO
I am trying to port forward, port 22 (SSH) to the file-server so i can login from outside the LAN.

WHAT I HAVE DONE
I opened the speedtouch settings -> NAPT settings
Then added a new entry as;
Inside address: 192.168.0.19
port forward 22

Then....

With PuTTY try connecting...
SSH xx.xx.xx.xx (external ip address)
and "Connection timmed out!"

if i try with PuTTY...
SSH file-server
It works fine!

Can some please help what am i doing wrong???
Why is it timing out? Help? Someone!

The LAN part of the ADSL modem lies in a 10 network and your systems are on a 192.168 network....

Are you able to connect to the internet from ytour windows/linux systems?

Is your linux box connected to the ADSL modem too or is it connected to the windows system using internet connection sharing?

ok well i got a new setup now :P
I got rid of the WINDOZE server and got Smoothwall 2.0...
The speedtouch is connected through a NIC not USB with address 10.0.0.2

EXTERNAL IP: xx.xx.xx.xx

[-SPEEDTOUCH 530 ADSL MODEM-]

INTERNAL IP: 10.0.0.2

Server (Smoothwall) 192.168.0.1

File-server (Linux) 192.168.0.19

I now port forward port 22 from the speedtouch to 192.168.0.1.
Then i,
port forward from smoothwall to 192.168.0.19 on port 22.

And still connection timmed out......
But i can still SSH file-server through LAN....

So how do i port forward this correctly to be able to SSH the file-server from outside the LAN?
Suggestions???
