Hello everyone,

I have recently installed linux on two on two machines
and installed network cards , where can i get material on how to connect both the machines , I already have "NetWork Adminsitrator guide 2nd edition" downloaded will this be enough. Also facing a problem that when partitioning the disk of just 1.2 mb it say 'To big to partition'.

Connecting machines

Don't know about that partition error.. but you can connect those two machines using a crossover cable or two regular cables and a little hub.

Just give each one a different IP address in the 192.169.0.x range and the same subnet mask.. usually 255.255.255.0

Thats about it.

I'm sure it's just a typo, but that private block is 192.168.x.x ;)
