Question help me: gettin into another network

>>i have a lan connection and currently my isp provides me with 3 diff networks

>> but ppl in my lan remain same if we all are on the same network virtually.
>>>> in windows wat we do is goto properties of lan card and add the ip and dns mask and then easily able to chat with frnds on vypress and dc++

>> but now in linux im able to view frnds only who r on the same gateway

so how can i add myself into another network as in windows tht too with a gui interface[recommended]

currently im using mandrake 10 and when i add another network card with the other ip and gateway thn i lose these setting[overwritten] and thn not able to access internet.
