Question HELP : Internet on Debian through Proxy/Lan

I have recently installed Debian 2.2. I use to access Internet on Windows NT via a proxy server on lan. On Debian ping command is working but the default browser Lynx is unable to connect to the internet. I tried Netscape but its not even starting. I have checked /etc/resolve.config and /etc/network. The IP address of the proxy is correct. Please telle me where is the problem?

/etc/lynx.cfg

Look at /etc/lynx.cfg for proxy configuration
