help for tcpdump


Sir,
Could you please help
for the problem which i need to solve.
i have to list all the services which is coming to the server from
outside network and the packets for that service.
i need the output of tcpdump in the following format.

service packets source dest
------- --------- ---- -----
tcp 7748984 192.23.33..122....
udp 89893 167.... 234...
telnet 73483 ......

i used tcpdump -q -t .still it is displaying so many unwanted information.
how can i do filtering using tcpdump?i need to monitor some
particular service.
pleasr give me some suggestions.

You have to add an expression of what data you want to listen to. Check the man pages for tcpdump for extensive info on all the expression types you can make.

If you just want to listen to web traffic then you could do something like:

tcpdump port http
