help for rtl8139DL

Hi,
I have written a network driver code for rtl8139D(L), ethernet controller, with open, stop, transmit, get stats and interrupt handler device methods. The code seems to be working fine till I activate the device using "ifconfig up". Transmit and get stats function gets called around 5 times atleast, at this point. Is this expected?
The IP address gets assigned successfully. But when I try to ping my system from other systems in the network,"destination host unreachable" message is displayed. Also I'm unable to ping other systems from my system. It looks like my card is not recognised by the network. What could be the problem and what could be a possible solution for it?
Thank You.

Hi

You need to check PCI and Kzin.Fitting or tried for fitting?
