Help configuring Squid

Hi,

I have been having a lot of trouble configuring Squid on Debian 7.0 I think the problem relies in that I have never done it before. Having said that, I have a network of like 50 computers with a static IP, but all the computers are configured in a subnet like 10.0.0.X But, when I configure squid I don't know what to put in localnet for access, I tried the static IP and the subnet with 10.0.0.0/somenumberidontremember.

When I congifure the ip to the machine that has squid 10.0.0.81 with port 3128 in firefox it just says it refuse connection.

I just don't know what more info I can give you so just ask away.

Connection refused can be because of firewall rule, service not running or in this case because of misconfigured squid configuration file. I would suggest checking the first two though that is: service status (if it loads without any error) and firewall. For the configuration part you might want to have a look at: http://mahidulsblog.blogspot.in/2013...server-in.html
