had suse 10.0 wireless working with realtek pcmcia card and native driver

I have a dell latitude laptop and a realtek pcmcia card. The card was working fine with the linux driver. Now it does not seem to see a wifi signal. I am traveling and using puppy linux with ndis wrapper and win2000 driver for the time being. Is there something I can tweek in the wireless properties to make it seek a wifi signal? I have not used the laptop since I last successfully used wifi with suse 10.0. The card is listed in yast and nothing appears wrong.

Not enough there
Does the card show in lspcmcia? Have you wlan0? Post the output of iwconfig. Does 'iwlist scan' show networks? Can you log on at home? Often people have these things set up for home, but that setup doesn't travel.

Yes, I had it working with my access point and assumed it would work in an ad-hoc wireless hotspot. I do have wlan0 showing in yast for network cards. I will have to post back the other results.

Problem solved: typed 'wlan0down', then typed 'wlan0up' and the nic reconnected and wireless worked fine.
