GUI (KDE,Gnome) needs 5 min. to start with pppoe active..

Hi all,

I have strange things going on in Debian sid..

The problem:
as soon as there is an active connection to internet via adsl (T-Online in germany) KDE and Gnome need several minutes to start.. with adsl off, no problem, as it should be.
Currently I use the rp-pppoe plugin, but this doesn't change anything, I had the same problems with the default pppoe package coming with debian.
And there's no difference what Xfree86 version i use, even tried compiling the last snapshot of Xfree 4.3.99. Also installed a new sarge install -> same problem.
I looks like a networking problem.. I have two rtl8139 cards, one connected to local switch (192.168.x.x), the other (eth0) is my dsl connection.
I configured my dsl with pppoeconfig, and it works perfect when I'm on the console.

In KDE with pppoe active it stops at "initializing system services" and continues after 5 min. or so, with all working fine, except file access in konqueror (another 5 min. to wait)

so i need about 30 min. to go through this all and than have a nice desktop without any problems, all is working fine..

I didn't find anything in any log-file.
I think i need help..

Lightbulb SOLUTION FOUND

Ok, just in case someone else has/will have the same problem:

I found the reason for this behaviour. I dind't configure loopback interface...
and got this strange things.
As soon as interface lo with 127.0.0.1 is up, all is fine!
