Good open-source WiFi Hotspot / Captive Software for WLAN users to authenticate?

Hello,

Seperated from our company-LAN, we are offering a WLAN for our campany's long- and shortterm guests and customers.

Those wireless clients (notebooks) run in a seperate VLAN and authenticate against a non-opensource Hardware Captiveportal Box (Nomadix), which just broke. However the Accesspoints still working.

We are looking for a replacement, a portal software where we can add and delete users for wireless LAN, and that shows them a "disclaimer" after the login, and so on. And maybe where we can set a validity timelimit per user. Like 1 day for this user, and 2 months for another one, until their login expires.

Should be rather easy to use and simple administration..
Maybe we could let that run in a VM? We have a VMware cluster running here. Or maybe on one of our older servers that are not in use...

Any suggestions which one software is good for that?
In google you find hundreds, its too much to test each of them.
Chillispot i read often, but the development stopped like 2007 according to their homepage.
Is ZeroShell any good? ... what would u use?

Regards, ND.
