Getting suse to recognize proxy


Here is my situation Windows XP With broadband Via modem...Suse 9.2 connected to Windows with a crossover cable. I have just configured AnalogX Proxy on Windows and i want Suse to be able to log in to the internet Using that but i have nooooooo idea whatsoever how to do it

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

either use Yast->Network-Services->Proxie-Settings
or
in the browser configuration set the proxie server.

Thnks. there are so many settings tho, do i set it to auomatically obtain proxy settings or do i manually configure them. What do i put as my proxy will it be the IP i asigned to my network card?

Hi,

set the ip of the windows-machine.
Also check the port from AnalogX (mostly 8080 or 3128)
