Getting Online

Hi,

I am now using Wal-Mart Connect as my ISP and I'm wondering whether there is any way to use it in Linux. Because, it needs a software to connect, I was hoping that there was a way to "emulate" the software. Thank you.

(F.Y.I. The software is from the makers of CompuServe)

Are you sure it needs software to connect or did they give you a progarm to lauch the connection so you didn't have to do any manual configuration and can start connection from an icon on the desktop?

I used to use a software conection program in windows until I found out it was really only an elaborate shortcut to the 'standard' way of connecting.

If this is the case, copying your connection parametres as used under windows to linux should be enough.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm sure they need a software (like AOL) to connect
