Getting internet to work (PPPoE client on modem)
 

I have just changed to a new DSL-connection.
For the previous one I had a DSL-modem with no PPPoE client so I
used "adsl-setup" with no problems but
with the new connection I got a DSL-modem with the
PPPoE client on the modem itself (Alcatel Speed Touch 510).
With it came a installer for Windows but nothing for Linux.
Since the windows installer configured the modem I just need to
change the DNS-settings or whatever on Slackware 10.
Everything works fine on both Win2k and Ubuntu but since I hate both
of them I want it to work on Slackware :P .

Im comfortable with CLI and stuff but don't know much about networks.

Thx to the guys at sweclockers.se I now know.
If anyone has a similiar problem you should run:
dhcpcd ethX

where X is probally 0
