Openssl doesn't Support FTPES or FTPS protocol.
Is there any open source library that can be used to provide ftpes support in C?

If you can upgrade to SSH/SFTP instead then there is the C library libSSH2, which is available under an open source license.

As far as I know openssl does support explicit ftp. Have you looked at libcurl?

Read the "Question Guidelines", please. You are, essentially, asking us to look things up for you.

VSFTP support SSL/TLS, and there are many how-to guides on how to do it. But as many others have said, FTP is **INHERENTLY INSECURE** and SFTP/SCP should be used instead. Putting "linux ftps c library" into Google pulls up a LOT of hits, with libcurl being #1 (as michaelk suggested), and many others available.

Again, we aren't going to look things up for you. Just putting "ftps c library" into Google pulls up a LOT, and you were already told about libcurl.

Sure, you can go ahead and create whatever library you'd like...that's very possible. Have fun.
