ftpd - Too long before asking for authentication

Hi,

I have 3 servers running Mandrake 9.1 in a network, all of them have xinetd-ftpd running. However, when I try to establish a ftp session from another machine to one of the servers, it takes too long before the authentication (username + password) is asked, causing some applications that use ftp to time-out. This only happens with one of the servers, the other 2 work fine.

What can be causing this? I thought it was the /etc/resolv.conf file thay could have a wrong DNS server, but this file is exactly the same in the 3 servers (it's empty in all of them).

Could someone help me? Thanks a lot.

Try to write the IP's of the different servers in that file /etc/hosts.allow It's look something like that:
