FTP server on LAN

My problem is that I have a computer in a LAN with no routable IP (all computers in the LAN have IPs like 10.5.x.y). We all have internet access through a linux server.

What I would like to know is if it's possible for a computer in the LAN to have a ftp server and someone outside the LAN (anyone on the internet) access that ftp server, even if that computer doesn't have a routable IP? (something to do with port forwarding????)

If it is, then how? Please post a solution, a place where i can find a solution.

Thanks
