ftp question

I've started ftp daemon (vsftpd) , and I can use ftp service.
My question is:
How can I make a user, which is allowed to see only his own home directory?
For example if I make a user "USER". His home directory will be /home/USER . I want this USER to see and to use only his own home directory (/home/USER) , and this user to be denied to see all other directories (like /etc, /usr etc.).
How can I do this?

inside the vsftpd.conf file located in /etc/vsftpd
add an entry like this one:
chroot_local_user=yes
